Virtually all of the Jackie DeShannon classic songs featured on this package are like mile markers on pops journey through the decades. 'When You Walk In The Room' written by Jackie, and 'Needles And Pins' written for Jackie by Jack Nitzsche and Sonny Bono, represent her early 1960s work. Jackie achieved a top ten hit in 1965 with her exquisitely soulful rendition of Burt Bacharach and Hal David s 'What the World Needs Now Is Love'. The legendary standard earned three Grammy nominations and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

In 1969 DeShannon firmly established herself with a song of her own with the classic 'Put a Little Love in Your Heart', bringing her back to the top 10 and another Grammy nomination. Her work with Donna Weiss took Jackie into the 1980s with her smash number one hit song 'Bette Davis Eyes' breaking Kim Carnes as a major artist of that decade and earned Jackie the 1982 Grammy Award for Song of the Year.

The 11-track set features all of her classic songs beautifully re-recorded acoustically in 2011. A must have for fans of female singer-songwriters.
